Non-contact liquid presence sensing intended for film-based microfluidic devices, VIDA is a sensor intended to detect (leading edge) fluid presence in small channels in IVD cartridges.

VIDA has a very small footprint, allowing multiple sensors to be arranged on a single cartridge layout.

Connection and readout is easy - simply connect to VIDA with a 4-pin JST connector and supply +5V and GND. There is one binary output vetted to work under design constraints provided by ADMI, but all applications are different and as such there is another pin that outputs a raw signal that be analyzed for fringe cases.
